ti BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES MONDAYt APRIL 1 , 1992 „Approval and Execution of Annual ,Town Meeting Warr Article ' : The actual amount is $2200 to transfer from the Conservation Reserved receipt Account to the conservation Expenses Account. Article 4: The sum of $22 , 200 will be transferred from the Bog Irrigation system Account to the Bog Operation and maintenance Account for three years. This will be substituted for Article 4 as it appears on - the pe ia-1 Town Meeting Warrant totalling $22 ,000 . Article 13 : It was indicated that the bill has not been adopted for this article . This article lacks the chapter and Section number. It was suggested to place this article in the -October Warrant , *It is the agreement of the Board to delete Article 1.3 from the Annual May Town Meeting Warrant . Article 14: This article would allow the Town to charge. for services rendered . It authorized the Town - establish a fee for a service rendered informs counsel . The Finance Committee does not recommend this- article indicates Mrs. Greelish. The wording of the General Law is too hr-kh' d. All departments would be able to set fees for what they would consider a service. It is the agreement of the Board to delete Article 14 from the Annual Town Meeting Warrant . With concerns to the budget of the council on Aging, Evelyn uschenfeldt voiced her opposition to the reduction. With a new building,, we aro trying to provide services to the elderly . Why should we reduce the hours of the director? Mrs. Greelish indicates with the. ample volunteers, the services will not suffer. Betty Tones voiced her support of the Finance Committee ' s recommeindat ion. Catherine Conroy related that the Building Committee has done everything. Until the addition is a reality, the services can be offered . she feels the director has ample hours. It does not make sense to reduce the hours of the director responds Selectman Vaccaro., The option -to made an amendment can e made on Town Meeting floor . 1 ' Acqua Sport Boat : The Acqua sport .is now twenty-three gears old informs Selectman Vaccaro. If it was launched , it would sink. The estimated cost to repair the boat i o . Ben Gordon relates the boat should not be used , It is reader to be retired. There are several replacement boats available under 8500 that would accommodate the 85 hp Johnson engine. Mr. Gordon urges the Board to find the money to buy a boat for the Harbormaster ' s Department . He relates that it will take 4-6 weeks for deliverer.
