The motion was seconded by selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous . 3-0 . 51 p.m. selectman Caffyn called a five minute recess.. 8 : 56 p.m. Meeting resumed . School Buildinq CommitteeStatus ort Peter Diniio gave an update to the Board as to the progress f the committee. Committee- members,, Dr. D M ura and Tori Cahir were present for the meeting with Diane Price of SBAB. Recent correspondence from SBAB indicates the information provided by the school Building Committee qualifies a "approvable" under the current School Building Assistance Act and Regulations , The current reimbursement rate is 58% This includes construction and interest cost. The rate is ff - tivo until June 3 , 1992 , Mr, Dini io indicates that we may be able to obtain a legislative "riders' to allow Mas p o to be grandfathered if the application is filed after the deadline of June 3 , 1992 . A formal letter from Dr. Antonucci was forwarded t SBAB indicating the decision of Falmouth towards the acceptance of iashpee students into the high school as requested by SBAB. SBAB has offered to work with the selected archit ct t maintain the standards f SBAB and t design towards ' the conversion of the 'Middle school into a high school . The Coombs School and Middle School will be - considered as one site on the application for reimbursement of the water maim extension. The addition will also be considered ,as a renovation indicates Mr. Dini i . To complete the application with SBAB, we need preliminary architectural drawings. some questions on the application have to be answered by the selected architect. It is important that the RFP be submitted on a timely }iasis indicates Mr. Diniio to meet the deadline of June 30 , 1992 . On April 9 , 1992 , the School Building Committee finalized the acceptance of 'the RFP. We would like to advertise in the Register on April 2 , 1992 , The fifteen classroom addition will be designed as a Middle School addition with the flexibility to be designed as a high school . Included in the cost estimate of the addition is the needs assessment ., Town Counsel indicates there is regular outline of the designer selection process in a handbook that is put out by the Office of the Inspector General .
