sti # r w BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES MONDAY, JUNE 11 1992 Fishing Tournament Application for`approval : The Plymouth County Sheriff ' s Department has requested to use Mashpee a eby Pond on September 20 , 1992 . Selectman Mills indicates her concern to the proposed starting time of the tournament , The Board has clearly indicated to the Public Access Board that no tournaments will start before 7: 00 a .m* The- number of cars is also a regulation notes Selectman Mills . A gate attendant and BPC should also be present to monitor the amount of attendants, Selectman Jacobson recommends to extend the regulations. She suggests to -begin on April 1st and extend the time frame to October 12th. This change would effect regulation number 12 . Selectman Costa has recommended to ,better notify the public when a fishing tournament is to be scheduled . This would include alerting the caress and the placement of signs in the area . The community calendar could also be a form of notification. **The motion was Stade by Selectman Jacobson to approve the application of the Plymouth County Sheriff ' s epartment with the corrections stated by the Board . The Public Access Board will be notified of regulations to not allow tournaments to begin prior o 7: 00 a .m. and parting is limited to 35 . The permit is granted subject to these conditions, The motion was seconded by ,selectman Mills , VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0 . *The motion was mace by Selectman Jacobson to amend the current Mashpee/Wakeby Pond Boat Larding Regulations to read fees will be charged from April 15th to October 15th. This will appear in number 12 of the regulations, ' The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills . VOTE: Unanimous . - . Fiscal PolicyCommittee: Selectman Oaf fyn has asked Al Polsi to act as Chairman of the Fiscal Policy Advisory Committee. Mr, Polsi has accepted the responsibility. Selectman Caffyn has suggested that Mr. Polsi contact the existing members of the committee to review the amendment and incorporate any changes, The final report shall be submitted to the Board of Selectmen and printed for residents when accepted by the Board . A Finance Comm i ttee liaison is needed for this committee*
