BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAYr.JUNE l , 1992 <br /> ili Ir 1�� <br /> Personnel Issues . . <br /> Selectman Caffyn would like to issue, a letter to Kevin <br /> Harrington to request he return anything else in his possession <br /> f Town owned property, This letter is an attempt to brin-g items <br /> back to the Town. The Board should �be aware of items that are <br /> found missing, She notes that there is now an inventory in the <br /> Selectmen ' s Office. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro asks what Selectman Caffyn is going to <br /> with Mrs, Mason? She has done her job.. Why are you putting her <br /> through this? <br /> Mrs. Mason indicates that she was not aware that <br /> Mr. Harrington has the binders . He attended the ADA conference <br /> in her absence. She does not believe he took them willingly and <br /> she gage them to Dr. DeMoura as soon as she revieved therm. This <br /> was not something to deliberately keep from the Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> After the meeting with Selectman caffyn, it was impossible <br /> to indicate what might be missing in the Selectmen ' s Office <br /> indicates Mrs . Mason, When she is asked to locate ars item, and <br /> it is goner she would then know that an item would be missing. <br /> Mr. Harrington spoke with Robert Connell before he left <br /> office relates Mrs. Mason. It was with him. the day he left <br /> office. Mrs . Mason does not believe Mr. Harrington realized he <br /> had this item in his possession. When she spoke of Mr, onnell ' s <br /> personnel file, Mr. Harrington indicated that he also had a <br /> calculator in his possession and would return it . <br /> Mrs. Mason indicates that she has been with the Town for ten <br /> years . This is no cover up to hide anything from anyone . This <br /> was the best way she felt to obtain the manuals. <br /> It is clear that it is difficult to be in a position with <br /> Mr. Darrington leaving relates Selectman Caffyn, The Board of <br /> Selectmen should of been mace aware of the situation. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro indicates that Mrs. Mason did the right <br /> thing. She retrieved the items missing from the Selectmen ' s <br /> Office* <br /> Selectman Jacobson indicates that this has been a difficult <br /> time that we all have gone through. She is understanding of <br /> Nancy ' s concern and indicates to Mrs. Mason that this was not an <br /> attempt to malign her. It was an attempt to complete the due <br /> process and get to the bottom of this . She is upset that this <br /> has happened and indicates that we all need to work together. <br />
