• <br /> " r <br /> • <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JULY 1 ■ 1992 <br /> Memo from the Police Chief re: Leave of Absence/William <br /> Hauck. <br /> * *The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to approve of the <br /> leave of absence of William Hauck as submitted by the Chief of <br /> Police . <br /> *Selectman Vacdaro has recommended to hold the approval of <br /> Mr, Hauc ' .leave of absence pending further discussion in <br /> Executive Session. <br /> The Board is, in agreement . Selectman Jacobson has withdrawn <br /> her motion. <br /> ApRroval of i-14.May and Tune Bills for Attorney Gilman: <br /> r <br /> Selectman Vaccaro requests clarification as to the position <br /> of Robert Seeves , what he does for the Town and a specific <br /> explanation of his consultation services with Attorney Gilman. <br /> *The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve of the <br /> Bills from Attorney Gilman for April , May and June subject to the <br /> clarification as described above. The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Vaccaro, VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0 , <br /> Selectman Caffyn will submit a letter to Attorney Gilman <br /> regarding liaison attendance during negotiations. <br /> 8 :15 p,m, Toe Denaro re: Civil Defense Director ' s Position: <br /> Joe Denaro was present to� i cuss his application for <br /> appointment to the Civil Defense Director ' s position. He <br /> indicates that he has qualifications for this service in parallel <br /> with the duties he has performed in the Military& <br /> Mr, Denaro indicates that he has coordinated Joe DiMaggio a <br /> Deputy of Transportation and Evacuation. Richard Halpern in <br /> charge of DPW and Utilities and Marry LeC 1 at i re in charge of <br /> Mousing and Food. - He relates that it is important to have <br /> coordinators in the event of an emergency. <br /> Selectman Jacobson notes that Mashpee has current Civil <br /> Defense organizations. This includes Department Heads and <br /> volunteers with four wheel drive vehicles . <br /> It was noted that the former Civil Defense Director, <br /> Mr, Narr is willing and available to assist with procedures <br /> related to Civil Defense. <br />
