Lot ' s <br /> not make this steps backwards, <br /> Chief Frye indicated that Sergeant Matte had received <br /> counseling for several Months after the incident , A resident <br /> suggested that this should of been made public. <br /> Attorney Morse indicates that if the Town let Sergeant Mace <br /> o now, he could sue the Town and seek action against the Union <br /> for an unfair labor practice . <br /> Attorney Avery indicates that Attorney Randall is totally <br /> wrong. The Selectmen are not hand cuffed by the decision of <br /> Judge Ryan, He indicates that Chief Frye and the Selectmen can <br /> determine their own decision. It is irresponsible to say your <br /> afraid if you fire Mace you will be liable for a law suit * <br /> Attorney Avery indicates that the Town has a great case <br /> against Sergeant Mace for just cause. He noted that Mace .could <br /> not abet though the trial without bursting into t-eaiS. <br /> Selectman Cfyn asks why the dismissal was not part of the <br /> settlement? <br /> Attorney Avery replied that they couldn ' t ask for it . <br /> Sergeant Mace could not ask to be fired . <br /> Chief Frye indicated that Sergeant Mace has been on <br /> administrative leave for ten months , His leave is for an <br /> indefinite period of time at the request of the Chief . He noted <br /> that he cannot answer as to why Mace is on administrative leave. <br /> It is a ratter of privacy, but not determined as sick leave. <br /> Attorney Morse noted that she does not think. that it would <br /> e legal for the Town to fire Mace at this time . <br />
