August 20, 1992 at 7 : 30 .m. to discuss <br /> the settlement between the Town of Mashp ee and David Hendricks <br /> .Estate , <br /> Selectman Caffyn vindicates that the public i invited to <br /> speak on this issue. She notes as . per her memo that Judge Watson <br /> and Attorney Monahan will not be present. <br /> Selectman Costa indicates his concern that Nudge Watson and <br /> Attorney Monahan will not be present for the discussion. . He was <br /> under the assumption that they were t.o be present . <br /> Selectman Costa relates that he has no problem with the <br /> scheduled meeting to clarify the end results of settlement . He <br /> indicates that comments should not be made if the additional <br /> parties will not be present . <br /> Selectman dills responds that , it is of courtesy to hold the <br /> meeting since a group of concerned citizens have requested t <br /> Leet with the Board of Selectmen, <br /> Attorney Morse related that Attorney Monahan was not hired <br /> to represent the Town. The Town hired Attorney Randall to defend <br /> the Town including Chief Frye and Sergeant Mace, The Town <br /> Insurance company was then involved- in liability and remained in <br /> representation of Attorney Randall , Under Attorney Randall ' s <br /> representation, the Town and Chief Frye were -dismissed informs <br /> Attorney Morse . <br /> A motion was then filed indicating Attorney Randall could <br /> not represent all three parties . Attorney Monahan was then hired <br /> to represent sergeant Mace during the inquest and in litigation <br /> explains Attorney Morse , <br /> The Town of Mashpee and Sergeant Mace received a release of <br /> all demands indicates Attorney Morse in settlement of $375,0004 <br />
