VOTE: Unanimous. <br />-. <br />Concerning the four positions of nor standard part time <br />public safety dispatchers, Selectman Mills requested a <br />stipulation be included for each position before Mr, Whritenour <br />signs the written authorizations; the stipulation should restrict <br />hours to nt more than 999 per year and less than 20 per week. <br />Discussion followed concerning employee benefits. The Town does <br />not provide employee benefits for part time positions consisting <br />of less than 20 hours per week. <br />*The motion was made by selectman Vaccaro The Board authorize <br />filling the Police Department's four positions of non standard <br />part time public safety dispatcher; the motion was made second by <br />Selectman Mills; motion passed, VOTE: Unanimous. -0 . <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Vaccaro The Board authorize <br />the scheduling of a written exam for dispatchers; the motion was <br />made second by Selectman Mills; motion passed. VOTE: Unanimous. <br />4.00 <br />Selectman Mills initiated lengthy discussion concerning the <br />Police Department's custodian position. Chief Frye explained he <br />is presently using a special police officer, willing to perform <br />custodial duties, at $10.66 per hour, no overtire. Chairman <br />Caffyn requested Mr. Whritenour, , to submit a report of his <br />findings as soon as it is completed. <br />Police Department General order for LUroval. <br />1. General. order - Policy and Procedures for Civil Rights <br />and Haste Crimes. <br />2. General order - Chief of Police Citizen Advisory Board. <br />Both copies of the general orders are accompanied by Chief <br />Frye' s memos to The Board requesting review.
