DOTARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MOND,-MARCH , 1 -- - - -- - <br />41 <br />Director of Public Works re: State Reimbursed Road <br />projects: <br />Mr. Taylor indicated that four of the six projects will be <br />able to move forward at this time as a result of available <br />funds. He noted that the schedule for completion of the road <br />projects will hinge upon the different State processes. <br />0 <br />Project #1 Road Management System: Mr. Taylor indicated <br />that this will allow for a full review of all Town roads.(150 <br />miles The bulk of the work is necessary for a consultant and <br />relat-ed field work to categorize Town owned roads. This does not <br />include private roads noted Mr. Taylor. <br />The consultant will also formulate a software program by <br />this review also t-o be utilized by the Town Planner and Water <br />District. Mr. Taylor noted that this would not derive from <br />Chapter 90 funds. The data -base of information will be updated <br />internally each gear, <br />Project #2: Red Brook Road: Mr. Taylor indicated that this <br />involves a total reconstruction project to the road. The right <br />of way is only 501 wide. A 41 wide lane on each side of the road <br />will be well defined and Marked for a bike lame. 1t was noted <br />that a lot of drainage is necessary to this road project which is <br />1.4 miles long* <br />Project # : Piml lc,o Pond Road: It was noted that this was <br />approved at Town Meeting. A dangerous corner will be re - <br />aligned to include drainage, <br />Project #: Route 1, Cotuit Road to Great Neck Road <br />North: Mr. Taylor noted that this road is heavily traveled with <br />difficult intersections, A bike path is proposed on the south <br />side of the road. <br />Project #: Route 1, Great Neck Road North to Heritage <br />Park: This project involves overlay and an 81 hike path. <br />Project #: Meetinghouse Road; Complete overlay. lo25 <br />miles. <br />*Selectman Mills recommended to include in Project # r to <br />Lake Avenue, This would allow for foot traffic to the <br />pond. approximately 2 1 's of a mile Mr. Taylor also indicated <br />that he is able to paint a cross walk in this area of concern. <br />**The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve Road <br />Projects #1 through #4 with the consideration to continue .2 <br />miles to Lake Avenue. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br />acoben . VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />
