BOARD of SELECTMEN Page <br />I NTT E <br />THRD, MARCH 1, 199 <br />Goals of BOS: <br />Mr. Sherman indicated that the Conservation Commission is <br />able and eager to commit $1000 to the Green Tourism project to <br />begin the process, <br />Mr, Whritenour has prepared a draft action plan for review <br />relative to the new goals and objectives as set forth by the <br />Board of Selectmen.. <br />Selectman Mills recommended to include in the Goals and <br />Objectives of the Board of Selectmen, Centralized Purchasing, <br />She indicated that materials -bought from the same source would <br />result in si ificant cost savings.*Selectman Mills and <br />Selectman Costa will review the process of central purchasinge <br />Fishing Tournament - March 28, 199 : <br />The Waterways Commission submitted recommendations with <br />regards to Bass Tournaments at Mashpee Wa eby Pond dated March <br />1, 1993. The issue was discussed at a special meeting of the <br />WWC. <br />Two motions were passed as approved by the Waterways <br />Commission. Motion one; to establish a tot safety zone around <br />all docks and floats within which .no hooks or lures would be <br />permI tied without the permission of the dock or float owner. <br />Motion two; The boast speed -shall be restricted to mph <br />slow o wake for ALL boats(not just tournament boats-) prior to <br />:00 a.m. in lieu of a specific start time. <br />*The Board is in agreement to defer the acceptance of the <br />Bass -Tournaments until Monday, March 2 2 , ' 199 . <br />*Selectman Mills has offered to work with the Waterways <br />Commission and Public Access Board to resolve several areas of <br />concern. <br />p.. Review Town Meetin Warrants: <br />Special Town Meeting - Draft: 19 <br />r. Whritenour noted that the School Articles are current. <br />being reviewed by bona counsel. as it pertains,to architectural <br />and engineering services/specifications for a new high school <br />facility. *,The Board is in agreement to submit the proposed <br />article as a Jr/Sr High School. <br />10 <br />
