BOARD of SELECTMEN Page 3 <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, MARCH 25,.1993 <br />Discussion,of Town Meeting Articles related to the Personnel <br />Board: Draft; 33 <br />Article 16 &.Article 17: The Board reviewed the two <br />articles as submitted by the conservation Commission relative to <br />creating the position of Administrative clerk and/or extending <br />the senior Clerk's temporary position. <br />It is the consensus of the Board to delete Article 17 from <br />the Town Meeting Warrant. <br />Selectman vaccaro ,indicated that it should be a standard <br />operating procedure to consult the Personnel Board if there is a <br />propsal to create a new position. <br />The Personnel Board is in agreement to review and analyze <br />the position description of Article 16, The Department Head will <br />also be consulted. <br />Article 22: The Personnel. Board is currently reviewing the <br />job description of the Director of Public Works and related <br />questionnaire. Article 22 proposes to reclassify .the position of <br />the Director of Public Works to Grade 20. <br />Article The Personnel Board has recommended to change <br />the wording of Article 24, Ms. Stockbridge recommended to delete <br />the word; upgrade and insert the .were; reclassify. <br />Article 2 : The Personnel Board has recommended to change <br />the wording of Article 25. To include; to create a new <br />position. The Personnel Board will review the proposal as it <br />relates to the Board of Appeals secretary, Grade 5 to <br />Administrative secretary, Grade 8. <br />Mrs. Farren indicated that the employee i s currently <br />working 21.5 hours per week, <br />Article 2: The Personnel -Board will review Article 26 as <br />it pertains to the reclassification of the Leisure services <br />Director. <br />Article 27: It is the consensus of the Board to delete <br />Article 27 at this time from the Town Meeting Warrant <br />Selectman vaccaro recommended to propose Article 27 after <br />the negotiation and settlement of Union Contracts, <br />Article 27 proposes to add five steps to expand the <br />Personnel Administration Plants Salary Schedule. <br />r-1 <br />
