S 1 S BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 2 MINUTES MON A, APR I L 12 j -- 1 9 - - COMMUNICATIONSANDCORRESPONDENCE: Public AccessBoard/Waterways Commission: The State will provide an Environmental Police Officer during tournaments on a regular basis informed Selectman Mills to maintain a level of enforcement on the pond. Tournaments exceeding 25 vehicles Will have t0 provide for an EPO noted Selectman Mills. The State is also willing' to provide two portable sanitation facilities informed Selectman Mills. They will respond i writing to the recommendations of the Waterways Commission noted Selectman Mills. Elias McQuaid - TEAC Status Re ort: This item will be deferred until the next scheduled Selectmen's Meeting. OLD BUSINESS: Memo from the DPW Director re: Scoonsett Island: Mr . ' Taylor presented several resolutions to the concerns Of Seconsett Island Association residents as addressed by Middleton O'Malley -Keyes on February 20, 199 . With reference to the poor condition Of the guard rails that line the Waquoit Bay side of thO causeway leading t0 Seconsett Island, Mr. Taylor has recommended to reset the -existing cable. The cost to reset several hundred feet of cable i $9820 Mr. Whritenour concurs with Mr. Taylor's recommendations ***The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve recommendation of the DPW Director to reset the existing cable on the Waquoit Bay side of the causeway leading to Seoonsett Island for the surn of $982. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. -O . Mr. Taylor indicated that e- is currently working on a repair schedule with the Conservation Agent to remedy the seawall and edge of the road that has eroded. Mr. Taylor has recommended to place "No Parting Town Zone" signs on the ocean side where parking is not allowed to provide more enforcement capabilities for the Police, Mr . Whr i tenour concurs with this recommendation.
