He noted that <br />National laboratory test results are pending at this time. our <br />job as public health officials is to not cause alarm indicated <br />Mr, McQauid, but to keep the public informed. <br />Mr. Pesce noted that TEAL Meetings are open to the public. <br />The purpose of the meetings are to involve the publ-i c . <br />*It is the agreement to update the Selectmen on a regular <br />monthly basis as to activities related to TEAL. <br />22 p.m. Barnstable counter Fair Traffic Discussion: <br />Doris Weeks on behalf of the Barnstable county Fair was <br />present to discuss traffic concerns with the Board. Also present <br />for discussion were; Deputy cooper, Acting Deputy chief Hamblin <br />and Provisional Lt. Kevin Long. <br />Deputy Cooper recommended to establish alternate routes away <br />from Rte. 151 to alleviate fair traffic and allow access to <br />McArthur's Blvd* and the Sagamore Bridge. <br />Deputy cooper indicated that alternate fair traffic routes <br />will have to be coordinated with the townts of Falmouth and <br />Bourne for implementation. <br />No parking signs will be posted along Rte, 151 to allow <br />emergency vehicles to get in and out of traffic effectively <br />informed Deputy Cooper. This will also permit pedestrian traffic <br />to walk along the shoulder of the road. <br />Deputy Cooper indicated that he has discusse-d this concern <br />with Selectman Jacobson, It was recommended to place a police <br />officer in the area of John's Pond center during peak hours to <br />aid with traffic congestion. <br />Deputy cooper recommended to install portable traffic lights <br />in the two major traffic areas to be located off old Barnstable <br />Road and currier Road as they intersect with Rte. 1 1. <br />Selectman Jacobson recommended to alert the public through <br />radio and newspaper publicity. Mrs. Weeks agreed that traffic is <br />a major concern as a result of the fair, she is in agreement to <br />publicize this concern with the local media. <br />
