Traffic Discussion: <br />Mrs. Weeks indicated that she has received numerous <br />complaints as a result of the "Deets' which is placed in the <br />middle of rte. 11 during fair hours. <br />The "Boot" is a voluntary toll for Muscular Dystrophy, Our <br />observations indicate that collections for the "Boot" do not stop <br />traffic related Mr. Long. We have raised in excess of $10,000 <br />for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. <br />All the money received from the "Boot" goes to charity <br />explained Mr. Long of the Mashpee Eire Department. He has <br />offered to reduce the days to; Thursday and Friday: :90 p.m. to <br />:00 p.m. and Saturday; 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br />Michael Forde, a► resident of John's Bond Estates suggested <br />to move the selling area to the town line. There is a dirt road <br />in this location that may alleviate traffic concerns. <br />It is the agreement to evaluate the MDA "Boot" after the <br />Barnstable County Fair has been held this year. <br />9:25 p.m. Recess. 9:35 p.m. Meeting resumed. <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Board of Selectmen: 29/9 p . . <br />Special Meeting re: FY94 Annual Appointments <br />Barnstable Department of Health and Human Services is <br />seeking a representative to the Advisory Council Task Force. <br />*Selectman Caffyn has offered to serve on the above as Mashpee' s <br />representative. <br />Parade of Saturday, June 12, 1998: <br />A letter in appreciation for the success and support of <br />the Flag Day parade held last Saturday will be issued to Robert <br />Sullivan and Massachusetts Military reservation on behalf of the <br />Board of Selectmen. <br />Agenda item: 7129 ; 1 2 th Anniversary of Mashpee <br />Mashpee Arts Council: The Selectmen have expressed <br />congratulations and support to Ms. Walsh for the fine performance <br />of the art show held by the Ma.shpee Arts Council. <br />C� J <br />
