BOARD of SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />IUT S <br />� / D MAY 10, 1991-3 <br />8:10 p.m. Summer Shuttle Proposal: <br />Selectman ca fyn indicated that she has met with Tom Fudala <br />and Joseph Potla of the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority to <br />discuss the summer shuttle proposal* selectman Caffyn noted that <br />Jane Coogan also participated in the review. <br />Mr. Fudala submitted a draft proposal of the shuttle <br />service. He indicated that he will produce a clear description <br />of the proposed routes, fare structure and type of vehicle to be <br />used prior to the public hearing on this Matter. <br />The Cape cod Regional Transit Authority has scheduled a <br />public hearing n the summer shuttle proposal on Wednesday, June <br />16, 1993 informed selectman caffyn. <br />The seventy-one day shuttle service proposal is anticipated <br />to begin on June 28th until Labor Day noted Selectman Caffyn, <br />She is scheduled to meet with the Chamber of Commerce to discuss <br />the proposal. <br />Selectman Vaccaro related concerns to the cherry sheet <br />reduction$ <br />*The discussion of the summer Shuttle Proposal will be <br />placed on a future agenda as further information is prodded. <br />p.m, Pe Sloan - No Discharge Designation Application: <br />Peggy Sloan was present to request the Board's support and <br />endorsement of the final draft of the No Discharge Designation <br />Application for Waquoit Bay -and its tributaries and salt ponds. <br />Ms. Sloan indicated that boats will no longer be allowed to <br />discharge treated sewage into the bay. Richard York, Shellfish <br />Constable indicated that the shellfish Commission has voted in <br />favor of the No Discharge Designation Applications <br />Nis. Sloan indicated that the application will e, submit,ted . <br />to Coastal Zone Management ent and ultimately the Environmental <br />Protect -ion Agency for endorsement,. <br />Mr. Gorden of the Waterways Commission related concerns to <br />the liability aspect of the pump out station. The Waterways <br />commission is in favor of the No Discharge Designation. <br />Mr. Whritenour indicted that Town Counsel is currently in <br />review of the hold harmless language with the boat yard owners. <br />*The .motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to endorse the <br />40 final draft application for a Federal No Discharge Designation. <br />The Executive secretary is requested to submit a letter of <br />support to this concern.
