BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MONDA , MAC 1 , 199 - --- - _, - <br />8:50 p.m. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Willowbe d Correspondence; Selectman Caffyn indicated that <br />the material the Board has received has not been officially <br />staved and dated, The Selectmen r,ece ived three letters of <br />correspondence from Willowbend without date -and stamp of <br />receipt. She asks if the material has been placed in the <br />correspondence log. <br />Sergeant Mace Resignation: A meeting was scheduled for <br />Tuesday, May 11, 19,93 at 7 : OO - . . to release information <br />relative to the resignation of Sergeant Mace -informed Selectman <br />vccaro. Sergeant Mace resigned last Friday effective May If <br />1993 indicated Selectman vaccaro. <br />The Selectmen will not meet on Tuesday, May 11, 1993 as a <br />result of Sergeant Mace's resignation related Selectman Vaccaro. <br />A packet of information including copies of his release and past <br />minutes will be available in the Selectmen's Office on Tuesday, <br />May 11, 1993 after 10:00 a.m. informed Selectmarn Vaccaros <br />Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day: May 1 , 199 <br />55 p.m. E-911 Report and Recommendation: <br />0 <br />The Selectmen received a report of the E-911 System a <br />reviewed by the E- 11 Review Committee dated April. 28, 1993, <br />Members of the committee included; Selectman Mills, Selectman <br />Costa, Robert Whritenour, Chief Frye and Acting Fire Chief George <br />Baker. <br />After much consideration, it is the recommendation of the <br />E-911 Review Committee to adopt the Regional. E-911 PSAP one <br />button transfer system for local dispatching indicated <br />Mr. Whritenoure <br />The regional approach will provide the most efficient and <br />professional long-term alternative for strengthening our dispatch <br />function indicated' Mr. Whritenour. <br />e <br />Major issues of concern address b the committee include, <br />adequate staffing informed Mr. Whritenour. State guidelines <br />require two dispatching positions on all three shifts, year round <br />indicated Mr. Whritenour. The estimated first year staffing <br />increase to implement the program of local E-911 is $32,512019 <br />related Mr. Whritenour. <br />
