E BOARD of SELECTMEN Page MINUTES M ND Y, MAY 17t1993 Beautification council of Mashpee: The Beautification council has also proposed to beautify Donna's Lane noted Ms, Watt. We will be planting the sides of the road and bike path. It was noted that the abutters are. supportive of the project , Other beautification projects include; landscaping the entry to Heritage Park, beautifying the areas around Town signs and fall daffodil planting informed Ms. Watt-. The memorial/honorary tree planting is also a vital beautification program of the Beautification committee indicated Ms. Watt. The donor contributes the cost of a tree to be planted in honor of a loved one. Selectman Jacobson noted that a memorial tree was planted in memory of Dot cash at the Archives Building. The tree was donated,by Selectman costa and planted by the Department of Public Works. We are also looking to adopt the rotary indicated Mso Watt. We may also adopt a► road. The Transfer Station and entrance are also proposed projects noted Ms. Watt. ongoing -projects of the Beautification committee include beautifying bike paths. The selected logo of the Beautification council is the Mayflower informed Ms, Watt. A poem was written by Ms, Lopez about the Mayflower and the endeavor of the Beautification Council. p.m. Finance committee JointAppointment: Dan Goggin, Denise Sullivan and John Ferriday of the Finance Committee were present in joint convention with the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of filling a vacancy of the Finance Committee.. ***Dan Goggin made the motion to nominate and appoint Deidre reelish as a member of the Finance Committee, The nomination was seconded by selectman costa.
