VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />**The motion was made by Selectman Mills to approve the <br />Military Bass Anglers Association tournament on October 24, 1993, <br />with the following stipulations; tournament shall not exceed 35 <br />boats as per state regulations, one EPO required to be present <br />with boat, boat speed shall he restricted to 6 mph, slow/no wale, <br />prior to a.m. The motion was seconded by selectman Costa. <br />VOTE: Favorable, 3-1 . selectman Jacobson- is in opposition. <br />Public ,Safety Committee Report: <br />The Board reviewed the Public safety Study as compiled by <br />members of the Public Safety Study committee. Members of the <br />committee included; selectman Mills, Selectman costa, Robert <br />Whritenour, Police chief Frye and Acting Fire chief Baler. <br />Seven key areas were identified by the committee in which <br />the Town should address in order to enhance the coordination o <br />services between the Police and Fire Departments indicate <br />Mr. Whritenour. <br />In no order of priority, the seven ley areas include; <br />10 Clarification of the role of Chi. of ' s as management <br />advocates for the collective bargaining process. <br />2, Management and supervision of public safety <br />dispatching function, including training and <br />implementation of E-11 system. <br />3. Conflict and potential for conflict at the scene <br />of emergencies as a result of differing priorities <br />and orientations. <br />Streamlining of reporting to Executive Secretary <br />where possible. <br />. General relationship between Polio and Fire <br />Departments. <br />Need for coordination of services to improve overall <br />service delivery. Ensuring complementary rather than <br />competing services. <br />49 <br />. clarification of lines of authority to ensure policies <br />are carried out through the entire ranks of the <br />organization. <br />
