BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, OCTBER 13 1993 <br />Date for Police Serqeant Interviews: <br />It is the consensus of the Board to appoint a Police <br />Sergeant on Monday, October 25, 1993. Selectmen are requested to <br />review employee files contained in the office of the Personnel <br />Board. <br />It was noted that two of the applicants will be out of town <br />until October 26, 1993, After October 25, 1993, there will not <br />be a full board meeting f the Board of Selectmen until December <br />2, 1993', <br />3: O p.m. BIA Inc. d b a Deer Crossinq Market re: Pledge of <br />Douglas Beefy, President of BIA Inc, was present to request <br />permission to pledge his liquor, beer and wine license a <br />Collateral to Cape Cd.ie Cents savings as a part of his <br />re-f inanC in . <br />**The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve the pledge <br />of licenses as requested by Douglas Beery, d b a BIA Inc. The <br />motion was seconded by s-electman Caffyn, VOTE: Unanimous. -O. <br />Ambulance Bill Abatement Request: <br />0 4 r <br />A request was received from Carol Dawson relative to an <br />abatement for the remainder of an ambulance bi,11 dated June 31 <br />1993 in the amount of $200. Payment of this bill would create a <br />financial hardship for Mrs, Dawson and her family. <br />***The motion was made by selectman Dills to approve the above <br />a,bat ment request for ambulatory services. The motion was <br />seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />DeRuty Fire Chief salad <br />Chief Baker was present to request the Board set pay for <br />Deputy Fire Chief Sheldon Hamblin to Grade 1, step III. At the <br />recommended grade and step, Deputy Hamblin will receive $814,14 <br />weekly. <br />In addition to the above, Chief Baker indicated that he <br />intends to compensate Deputy Hamblin with the paramedic bongs of <br />$55.76weekly as stipulated in the PAP. Chief Baer indicated <br />that at this timer he has an inadequate amount of paramedics on <br />staff.. <br />***The motion was made by selectman Costa to approve the <br />request as stipulated by Fire Chief Baker. The motion was <br />seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />
