W Minors must have written permission from a pareiat <br /> r. guardian and, if still in school, by their school before <br /> being accepted for part-time employment. <br /> . New or Changed Positions <br /> a The Board shall approve a, new position within an <br /> existing g Department, or the changed duties of an existing <br /> position if, in eff ect$ a,'new position is created. Upon presen- <br /> tation of substantiating data, satisfactory to the Board, the <br /> Board as hereinafter provided, shall establish the initial pay <br /> rate and range for such new or changed position and assign <br /> it to its appropriate group. <br /> b Data on a changed or intended new position shall be <br /> furnished to the Board in the foray required by the Board. <br /> c After the Town -has approved any new position and <br /> the money has been appropriated therefor, the Board shall <br /> review the background of each -applicant for the new posi- <br /> tion, and the Department Mead shall make the final selection <br /> from those approved by the Board. <br /> 7. Combinition and Multiple Jobs <br /> To-increase efficiency and provide opportunity for full- <br /> time employment, two or more part-tune jobs may be con- <br /> solidated into one combined job, subject to the approval of <br /> the Board. <br /> . Titles f Positions. <br /> Except as provided under paragraph above, no per- <br /> son shall be appointed, employed, or paid as an employee in <br /> any position subject to The Plan under any title other <br /> than the one in the Classification Schedule (Table II),'the <br /> duties of which are actually performed. The title in the <br /> Classification Schedule of The Plan shall be official for all <br /> purposes of the position. This title shall be used to designate <br /> the position in all payrolls, budget estimates,, official reports <br /> and in oven other connection involving .personnel -and fiscal <br /> processes. <br /> . Reclassifications of Employees <br /> Before an employee may be reclassified to a position Mn <br /> another group, either higher or lower'. the Board shall deter- <br /> mine that such reclassification is consistent with the pro- <br /> visions of The Plan and shall approve the reclassification. <br />
