Grievance Defined. A grievance is a dispute or controversy <br /> between an employee, other than a probationary employee, and the Town <br /> over a specific provision of this Plan. <br /> . Grievance Stens. <br /> 1 4 <br /> Step 1 - The employee may take up a grievance with his immediate <br /> Supervisor in an attempt to resolve the grievance. This <br /> step shah be informal and confidential at all times. <br /> Stop 21 If no agreement Is reached. in Step 1, the grievance <br /> may be presented in writing to the Department Head . <br /> within three 3) working days of the occurrence of the <br /> *event giving rise to the grievance.
