PArD HOLIDAYS <br /> The following days shall be re gnized as legal' Holidays: <br /> New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington's <br /> Birthday, patriot's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, <br /> Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and <br /> Phristmas' Day.. <br /> a. Those regular employees not required to work on the legal <br /> holidays listed above shall receive their regular week' <br /> pay for the week in which that holiday falls. <br /> b. Those regular employees who are required to work on the <br /> legal Holidays listed above shall receive their regular <br /> week's pay for the week in which that holiday falls, and <br /> shall receive an additional day off as compensatory time. <br /> co The Fire Chief (Chapter .48, Section and the Police <br /> Chief (Chapter 147, Section 1 ') shall be paid statutory <br /> holiday pay for time worked, <br /> 2. Employees shall be entitled to these designated holidays on <br /> the following terms: The employee shall be granted one l <br /> day's pay at his regular rateo Howevert the employee I must <br /> work his last scheduled work shift before the holiday and his <br /> first scheduled work shift after the holiday, 2 must be <br /> excus-ed by his Department Head.
