i <br /> 4 <br /> Xii, VACATION POLICY <br /> 1 . All full-time employees and all part-time employees who average twenty <br /> 20) hours or more per week, in the six months prior to June 30, shall <br /> be entitled to vacations in the next fiscal year as follows <br /> LENGTH of EMPLOYMENT VACATION <br /> Under 6 months None <br /> months through 1 year 1/2 day for each month <br /> 1 through 3 years 1 day fox, each month <br /> through 10 years 1 and 1/2 days for each month <br /> After 10 years 2 days for each month <br /> . An employee's length of service on June 30th will determine the amount <br /> of vacation leave to which the employee is credited for the next fiscal <br /> year. Any employee terminating employment prior~ to the completion of <br /> the fiscal year shall reimburse the town for vacation day: taken but not <br /> earned. <br /> 3. Vacation leave shall not be carried over or accumulated from one fiscal <br /> year to the next fiscal year. Employees are encouraged to take all their <br /> vacation time during the fiscal year. Exceptions may be considered by <br /> the Personnel Board for employees to carry over their vacation- time to <br /> the next fiscal- year if extenuating circumstances occur. <br /> . An employee shall be granted ars additional day of vacation if, while on <br /> vacation, a designated holid6y occurs. <br /> . Vacation shall be taken at the employee's discretion subject to the <br /> operating needs of the department and the approval of the Department Mead. <br /> In case of two 2) employees in the same department, wanting to take <br /> vacation at the 'same time, the senior employee shall have preference. <br />
