Employees disciplined or discharged during <br /> their probationary period shall not have access to the <br /> grievance procedure established by the plan. <br /> 7Medical Examination <br /> As a pre-condition of employment, all applicants for <br /> position covered by the plan must be certified, following a <br /> physical examination, by a physician designated by the beard <br /> that the applicant is fit to perform the duties and responsi- <br /> bilities of the position applied for. The board may require, <br /> an annual physical examination of all employees and certifi- <br /> cation by a physician designated by the board that the <br /> employee is fit to continue to perform the duties and re- <br /> sponsibilities of the position. A physical examination for <br /> purposes of this section of the plan may include a <br /> psychiatric examination where the board so requests , <br /> Minors persons under 18 years of age must have written <br /> permission from a parent or guardian and, if still in school , <br /> from their school before being considered for employment . <br /> Temporary Employees <br /> All temporary ( full-time ) employees who for unforseen reasons <br /> 5 <br /> maintain their jobs for more than six months shall be en- <br /> titled to benefits on a pro-rated basis under Article XI, <br /> 'aid Holidays; Article XIIJ, Vacation Policy; Article XIV, <br /> Leaves Of Absence, Section 1 , Sick Leave; and Section d, <br /> Personal Leave . <br /> VI NEW OR CHANGED POSITION <br /> l The Board shall approve a► new position or the changed <br /> -8- <br />
