Such leave shall not be <br /> charged to the employee ' s vacation time. <br /> Maternity Leave <br /> a, Whenever a regularfull-time or regular part-time <br /> employee becomes pregnant, she shall furnish a certificate <br /> from her physician stating the expected date of her de- <br /> livery . While an employee may take maternity leave without <br /> pay at any time after a diagnosis of her pregnancy is con- <br /> firmed rmd her physician in writing, the Town may require <br /> written certification from her physician as to how long the <br /> employee should continue her regular work . All requests for <br /> maternity leaves of absence shall be rade in writing by the <br /> employee to her Department Head at least two weeks prior <br /> to the desired date of leave . For maternity leave which does <br /> not exceed twelve 12 weeks, the Town shall reinstate the <br /> employee to her previous position with the same status, pay, <br /> and length of service credit as of the date of her leave, and <br /> cover the Town' s part of the employee ' s health insurance <br /> premium for the twelve-week period . For longer periods of <br /> leave, the Town shall reinstate the employee in the first <br /> available opening for which she is qualified . Accumulated <br /> sick leave may be used during maternity leave if the employee <br /> is disabled from working as certified by her physician . <br /> Personal Leave <br /> All regular full-time employees, after completion of their <br /> probation, shall be allowed two 2 personal days per year <br /> .19. <br />
