start at Step 2 . <br /> An employee presenting a grievance shall be assured of <br /> freedom from restraint, interference, discrimination or <br /> reprisal . <br /> XVI , FIS ' I ON <br /> 1 A regular full --tame employee or regular part-time <br /> employee who desires to tike a course at a high school , <br /> college, or special training program, which course is rele- <br /> vant to the work performed for the Town, may request approval <br /> for such course prior to registering with the Board . ]pan the <br /> Board ' s approval after successful completion with a grade of <br /> 70 r the equivalency thereof r better, and after a certi- <br /> ficate of completion has been received from the school or <br /> college, the employee will be reimbursed for tuition and <br /> textbook expense upon the following conditions <br /> a. Total reimbursement for all personnel covered b-y this <br /> Plan in any one year shall be limited to Five Thousand <br /> Dollars , 040 . 0 . R FFR TO PERSONNEL UI ELI ES , <br /> b, Such courses must be taken during off-duty times and all <br /> employees agree that they shall make every effort to obtain <br /> Federal. and/or State funding for their attendance at such <br /> classes if such money is available . <br /> C , The Board may disapprove reimbursement for any course, <br /> that, in its judgment, does not qualify as a valid course <br /> that would fulfill a degree or certificate requirement rele- <br /> vant to the e aloyee * s service to the Town . <br /> Employees who receive tuition reimbursement under this <br /> article agree to remain in the employ of the Town for two <br /> � 2 � <br />
