.9- <br /> influence of drugs or alcohol at work, use of town equipment <br /> or supplies for <br /> private gain, work on town time for private <br /> gain-, absent without leave, and falsifying personal records . <br /> Employees disciplined or discharged during their -probationary <br /> period shall not- have access to the grievance procedure <br /> established by the plan,, <br /> Medical Examination <br /> As a pre-condition of employment, all applicants for a <br /> position covered by the plan must be certified, following a <br /> physical examination, by a physician designated by the board <br /> that the appl i ant is fit to perform the duties and responsi- <br /> b lities of the position applied for. The board may require <br /> an annual physical examination of all employees and crtifi- <br /> cation by a physician designated by the board that the <br /> employee is fit to continue to perform the duties and re- <br /> sponsibilities the position. A physical examination for <br /> purposes of this section of the plan may include a <br /> psychiatric examination where the board so requests . <br /> Minors persons under 18 years of age must have written <br /> permission from a parent or guardian and, if still in school , <br /> from their school before being considered for employment . <br /> T mporary Employees <br /> Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits , <br /> I NEW OR CHANGED o ITIOIC <br /> 1 The Board shall approve a new position or the ganged <br /> duties of an existing ' position.
