Selectmen disapproves a decision by the Personnel Board, <br /> the decision of the Board of Selectmen is final and <br /> binding. <br /> grievance concerning a suspension or discharge shall <br /> start at Step . <br /> An employee presenting a grievance shall be assured o <br /> freedom from restraint, interference, discrimination or <br /> reprisal . <br /> XVI , EDUCATION <br /> 1 A regular full-time employee or regular standard <br /> part-time employee who desires to take a course at a high <br /> school , college, or special training program, which course is <br /> relevant to the work performed for the Town, may request <br /> approval for such course prior to registering with the Board . <br /> 'Upon .the Board ' s approval after successful completion with a <br /> grade of 70 or the equivalency thereof or better, and after <br /> a certificate of completion has been received from the school <br /> or college, the employee will be reimbursed for tuition and <br /> textbook expense upon the following conditions : <br /> a. Total reimbursement for all personnel covered by this <br /> Plan in any one year shall be limited to Five Thousand <br /> Dollars 5,000 . 00 , REFER TO PERSONNEL GUIDELINES) . <br /> b . Such courses must be taken during off-duty times and all <br /> employees agree that they shall make every effort to obtain <br /> Federal and/or State funding for their attendance at such <br /> classes if such money is available, <br /> C , The Board may disapprove reimbursement for any course, <br /> that, in its Judgment, sloes not qualify as a valid course <br />
