Job openings will be posted on the town ' s <br /> bulletin board as commonly used by other town depart- <br /> ments in the town hall and annexes for a minimum of <br /> seven 7days before the closing date established <br /> for job applications . <br /> C . The Board shall, interview those applicants whose ap- <br /> plication form and related material indicate that <br /> they may be qualified for the position to be filled , <br /> After it has determined that one or more applicants <br /> are qualified, it will submit to the Selectmen all <br /> qualified applications and their recommendations to <br /> be considered for final selection. <br /> d . After final selection has -been made, the Board or its <br /> designee shall notify the successful applicant in <br /> wr ' ting of his appointment and job title, salary and <br /> other conditions of employment <br /> Fates of Pay . <br /> Effective July 1 . 1983, employees currently covered by this <br /> agreement whose positions are classified under Appendix A as <br /> amended shall be compensated in accordance with the Grade and <br /> Step Classification Plan and shall be eligible for future <br /> step advancements on July l of each succeeding year, except <br /> as otherwise noted in this agreement, until they reach the <br /> maximum step in their classification. The hiring nate for a <br /> new employee shall be the' minimum rate of pay for the <br /> position for which the new employee is hired, unless other- <br /> wise authorized by the Board . Department Heads shall secure <br /> prior approval of the Board for hiring of all new personnel <br />
