He <br /> did a . 05 on the scale. <br /> O'Connell: Did ancone else witness this - other than his brother <br /> i <br /> Ames : 1o, just the three police officers <br /> O' Connell: Are they prepared to file a formal complaint: <br /> Ames : He has retained Counsel. <br /> o'Connell: I asked the Police Chief if he was aware of these al-- <br /> igation . <br /> o'Connor: Indirectly, I was aware before I carne here, Not un-- <br /> less he comes up and makes a formal complaint to me., <br /> NOTE: The two gentlemen that accompanied -Mr. Anes and are <br /> involved in this incident were not seen at this time, <br /> The only reason this meeting is being held . is that it <br /> involves a town official. A town official who is li- <br /> censed to carry a�weapon and whose job requires that <br /> he carry a weapon. <br /> Ames:, I 'd like to be on record that I am going to request a <br /> formal hearing at the district court as soon as I re- <br /> ceive <br /> e- <br /> ceive r oti oe- o f .the suspension. I 've met all the <br /> criteria of the bar-law for the license. <br /> Garland: Any time frame for the investigation <br /> O'Connor: one witness is out of town and should be back tomorrow, <br /> probably Friday afternoon. <br /> W onnell: This Board does not wish to involve itself with police <br /> matters here today. Chief, we would appreciate a copy <br /> f the report. <br /> O'Connor: Nor. Ames will get a formal letter tomorrow morning. <br /> It will explain the procedure for seeking redress at <br /> the first district court. <br /> Town Counsel: <br /> One thing Nor. Ames should be aware of procedurally if <br /> he intends to file a complaint against any individual <br /> officers. If you intend to, you should file theca with <br />
