SELECTMEN' S MINUTES �oyepbex 1 19 Page i drive us home - one of our wives , who were both irate. They were pretty fed-up with us -- that's not what I I m here about. This shooting .thing, "someone is going to get shote is lunacy. We went into the place for last call. we ordered two rounds of beer. It care to $10 .00 . There were four other people sitting at the bar & that was it - that was the crowd; two ladies, two gentlemen. Somehow the bartender cane up to us. Gordon and him started shout- ing at each other, cursing, he asked all three of u to leave because of the profanity. I said, for what? We haven' t done anything; we' re just drin] ing our beers . The next thing we }snow, Police officers were at the door. The beers were scooped off the bar with change and everything.. We left the place, My car was at the parking lot 'at the "Pub" where I had been earlier. I went down and got my car and I was so totalled that I was all over the road going back to where we were. I thought I was in Andy' s parking lot; that' s how bad I was . we had- to work something out and try and get a ride. We' d get killed if we tried driving. At that point, I went in and got that little leather pouch, took it off my belt, the bullets are on the belt, that is true, but the weapon was in the trunk. The weapon wasnit in the holster, and that' s one untruth that came out the second time There was no conversa- tion onversa- tion with us whatsoever - band-bang. I was in the cruiser, with the weapon still in my hand and the briefcase on the seat next to me . I Put the weapon on the floor and moved the briefcase and by that time Sgt. Cooper care and grabbed nye and said where' s the gun and I said right down on the floor. He grabbed i t, but didn' t grab the bullets. O'Connell: The weapon had been where prior to, . . Ames: I locked it in mfr trunk, but I didn' t go home. I know that' s wrong, too. O' Connor: Another statement: "At 1 : 15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jinn Armes arrived with 2 gentlemen giving -me a greeting, we care close enough so I could feel he was carrying a weapon.
