Page <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 9, 1994 <br /> Chief of Police re: Request for Appointment, <br /> Chief Frye was present to recommend the appointment of Stephen McDonald <br /> as a full-time Patrolman to fill the vacancy created by Patrolman Hamilton's <br /> resignation, It was noted that the Personnel Board concurs with the Police <br /> Chief s recommendation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to appoint Stephen McDonald <br /> s a full-time Police Department Patrolman as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn, VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Selectman Jacobson absent. <br /> Stephen McDonald was present to meet the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Designation of Town Physician: <br /> Marilyn Farren,Personnel Administrator recommended the Burd <br /> designate Dr. Robert Moore of Mashpee Medical Associates as a second <br /> Torn Physician. <br /> It was noted that the fee structure is equal to the first designated physician, <br /> Dr. George Silva. This will allow a selection of two physicians for the <br /> pre-employment physical requirement indicated Mr. Whritenour. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to appoint Dr. Robert Moore <br /> as an alternate or second physician to the 'Town of Mashpee as <br /> recommended. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn, VOTE: <br /> Unanimous. 4-0. Selectman Jacobson absent. <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> Jane Coogan indicated that the Mashpee Beautification Council voted to <br /> schedule a'Trash Bash collection in October in conjunction with the October <br /> Town Meeting for the purpose of obtaining signatures to aid in the clean-up <br /> process and issue trash bags to 'interested residents. <br /> It was noted that the recent Trash Bash was a successful clean-u . Bags are <br /> scheduled to be picked up by the DPW this week. <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the October Trash <br /> Bash request in conjunction with the Town Clerk's confirmation. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br /> Selectman Jacobson absent. <br /> It was noted that the Beautification Council anticipates scheduling trash clean-ups <br /> on a biannual basis. Selectman Costa recommended to contact the Board <br /> of Health to assist with clean-up efforts. <br />
