f ■ Page Board of Selectmen Minutes May 23, 1994 COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Correspondence from Deputy Police Chief r : Educational Standards for Police Personnel/Educational Incentive Program: • Communication was received from Deputy Cooper dated April 22, 1994 relative to the Law Enforcement Television Network. Police personnel participating in one of the programs are eligible to receive continuing education college credit for viewing and completing training requirements on police subjects broadcasted over the Law Enforcement Network. *It is the consensus of the Board to refer the above to the Personnel Board t this time for further review. Communication from the Mashpee Taxpayers Association: Correspondence was received from Roger Harsch of the liahpee Taxpayers Association dated May 12, 1994 recommending the Board give consideration towards televising Monday night meetings. As noted by Peg Harsch, the public at lame will have the ability to receive information pertaining to Town government. The Taxpayers Association will assume responsibility for transportation of video equipment and operation of the video camera. i Motion made by Selectman Costa to authorize the Executive Secretary to contact Continental Cable with regards to the feasibility of televising Monday night Selectmen's meetings. The Selectmen's conference groom will be reviewed with reference towards space requirements for live coverage. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. NEW BUSINESS: Request for Permit to Move a Building: Mr. Hayden of Hayden Building Movers of Cotuit was present to discuss his pe nit application to move a building for Willowbend Corporation over a public road on Wednesday, May 24, 1994. As noted by Mr. Hayden, a double wide trailer will be used to move the building over Quinaquissett Road. Mr. Whritenour indicated that all necessary signatures and fees have been received with reference to the permit application.
