Page <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 6, 1994 <br /> Economic Development Committee re: Database, Economic <br /> Development Coordinator: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to allow the purchase of <br /> computerized database to assist the economic development <br /> activities of the Town as recommended. Motion seconded <br /> by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE; Unanimous. -o. <br /> The Committee received one application for the position of Economic <br /> Development Coordinator indicated Mr. Potts. The Economic Development <br /> Comrruttee has recommended to secure this position with Ms. Dori Ann <br /> Donovan. Her extensive background will allow her to aid in our Economic <br /> Development Corer u*ttee's goals noted Mr. Potts. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to authorize the Personnel Board to 'Interview <br /> Ills. Donovan prior to appointment. The Personnel Board and Executive <br /> Secretary are directed to establish an hourly rate of pay for a salary not to <br /> exceed$5000 to include specific duties as Economic Development Coordinator. <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> Greg Taylor, a member of the Assembly of Delegates indicated that a meeting <br /> was scheduled last week with Colonel Keating of the Military Base regarding _ <br /> the Installation Restoration Program. (IR-Pi <br /> meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, June 1 , 1994 at 4:00 p. . to he held <br /> at Christ The King Church relative to Johns and Ashumet Ponds. The focus <br /> of the discussion will involve the containment of the plumes informed Mr. Taylor. <br /> All residents are encourage to attend this discussion to show their support of <br /> clean-up efforts. <br /> Tuesday,June 2 , 1994: Public Meeting involving all four towns <br /> Topic of discussion: Comprehensive Clean-up of the Base and gelated plumes. <br /> Meeting tentatively scheduled; Mashpee Middle School. <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to schedule Jinn Begley to attend a meeting <br /> with the Board of Selectmen to discuss current Base activities. <br /> Torn Bryant indicated that he has faxed a memo to the Board of Selectmen <br /> requesting he be selected to video tape Monday night Selectmen meetings. <br /> It was noted that the Board has not received copies of this fax to date. <br /> With regards to televising Monday night Selectmen meetings, Mr. Whritenour <br /> indicated that he has meet with representatives from Continental Cable to <br /> discuss this possibility. He will return with a detail list of technical requirements <br /> at the next scheduled meeting for consideration. <br />
