y Page <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 6, 1994 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to advise Town committee's and <br /> commission's of opinions inv lving state laws; to obtain a determination <br /> from the Executive Secretary with regards to receiving legal advice from <br /> i <br /> Town Counsel before action s initiated. <br /> Selectman Caffyn noted that she reviewed past minutes of the Z A with <br /> regards to New Seabury. A public hearing was not scheduled to discuss <br /> this concern. The ZA extended specific action until the year 2010 on <br /> information obtained in 1990 indicated Selectman Caffyn. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to refer the above to Town Counsel. The <br /> Town vote on the decision will be included in the informational packet. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals will be requested to meet with the Selectmen <br /> to discuss this concern after Town Counsel's review. <br /> Appointment of Board of Appeals Associate Members: <br /> The Board received a memo from Michael Makunas, Vice-Chairman of <br /> the Board of Appeals with regards to applicants for membership. There <br /> are currently three associate member vacancies of the Zoning Board of Appeals. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to appoint; <br /> eno Mendes, Jr. <br /> Ken ilarsters <br /> Robert Nelson <br /> to the Zoning Board of Appeals as recommended. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: 2-2. Motion does not <br /> carry. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to interview the above three candidates <br /> at the next scheduled meeting. Background information will be submitted <br /> to the Board of Selectmen for review prior to appointment. <br /> Vote of Acceptance for School Early Retirement Incentive Program: <br /> It was noted that the Board voted to place this item on the May Town Meeting <br /> Warrant. The School Committee and Town Meeting voted to accept the provisions <br /> of the School Early Retirement Incentive l r ram. <br /> The School Department anticipates one employee to participate in the School <br /> Early Retirement Incentive Program indicated Selectman Vaccaro. The projected <br /> cost is $3500 per year for fifteen gears to be added to the pension of the employee <br /> who will be participating in the program. <br />
