Possible to put an entrance in front of the cafeteria and use it as a <br /> function area. Each house will have a house master ' s office, that could be <br /> at the student entrance , <br /> Janice Mills asked about the superintendent' s suite? <br /> Ed E renette explained the superintendent' s space is an add/alternate to the <br /> program. :. <br /> Peter added that we do not have the space within the 183 , 000 and it is not <br /> reimbursable space , we cannot commit to it now. we will need more budget <br /> information first to see what we can afford .. <br /> Janice said the school committee will have to discuss this with the <br /> Selectmen . The School committee gage the S . Davis School ( town hal 1 ) to the <br /> Selectmen with the understanding that Superintendent' s space would he <br /> provided . <br /> Peter suggested that since we will have surplus space in the High School <br /> for a few years , classrooms cou1d he temporarily converted into <br /> Superintendent ' s space . <br /> Janice said that is cheating . It is a topic for the School committee to <br /> take up with the Selectmen . <br /> Bi l l Jones said the demography does not fit 2 houses . It defines a more <br /> flexible app roach than a 2 house configuration and you have held tightly to <br /> it. <br /> Mark Chen responded they were trying to answer the program, which calls for <br /> houses . <br /> D r. DeMou ra reviewed the benefits of a house configuration . <br /> Ray Bo rdwe l l said now we are calling it 2 houses, it could become a 4 house <br /> scheme with one on each floor , it could be a departmental scheme . The <br /> shared areas are interior and common to the 2 houses. <br /> Will the entire building he air-conditioned? <br /> Bob Fournier said they will investigate the cost to provide it now or in <br /> the future . <br /> Mark presented sketches of the exterior for scheme 5 . <br /> Arrive from old Barnstable Rd . , lighthouse in front, gym to one side, <br /> academic to the other. 2 separate student entrances with distinct <br /> canopies .
