Paul made a motion the Committee submit Dames and Moore to the <br /> Selectmen for approval based on the request for proposals from 3 <br /> vendors , Dames and Moore followed all instructions and submitted an <br /> acceptable price of $4 , 900 . Merry Sue seconded the motion . All <br /> members were in favor. <br /> Fee Accounts-- Tan explained a process has to be set up to deal with this <br /> job of paying invoices . <br /> Peter said the Committee wanted Ian to take care of it. <br /> Paul explained during negotiations , the Selectmen did not want to pay Ian <br /> to do this , they thought the town could handle it. <br /> Dr. DeMoura discussed this with the town accountant. He has a secretary <br /> that works part time and he would be willing to extend her hours so that <br /> his office would handle all the paperwork . Bob Whritenour and Diane <br /> Rommlemeyer are not in a position to do this . <br /> The Committee could get these past bills paid and in the future it could be <br /> handled through Dr . DeMoura ' s office . <br /> Steve said he appreciates Dr . DeMoura's offer but would want this to be <br /> done through the town account' s office . His concerns go back to his <br /> experience with the Middle School and there were problems with the <br /> Superintendent of Schools at the time . <br /> * Merry Sue made a motion that the Committee Secretary process for <br /> payment 2 invoices for SMMA (April t - May 31 ) and 3 for Chartwell <br /> (April 1 - June 30) , Paul seconded the motion . All members were <br /> in favor. <br /> ** Paul made a motion to approve for payment the SMMA invoice for <br /> $102 , 639 . 23 . Merry Sue seconded the motion . All members were in <br /> favor. ** <br /> ** Merry Sue made a motion to approve for payment Chartwell invoices <br /> for $1 , 600 , $15 , 000 and $18 , 000 . Janice seconded the motion . All <br /> members were in favor. ** <br /> Ian explained Bob Whritenour requires a letter stating the Building <br /> Committee has approved the value management workshop. <br /> ** Paul made a motion to approve the Value Management Workshop. Merry <br /> Sue seconded the motion . All members were in favor. ** <br /> Meetings- Bob Fournier met with Fire , Police and Building Departments . He <br /> asked the Committee what they want the exit capacity of the gym designed <br /> for? <br /> Paul suggested they come back next week with reasonable options. <br /> He would like to see the impact of all of the required doors . <br /> Peter received a comment that there should be doors large enough for a <br /> vehicle to get in . <br /> Paul explained a vehicle would change a lot of issues with the design . <br /> Tom suggested they tie in the design to the ultimate expansion number . <br /> Bob said they will begin with that and factor in some additional seating <br /> and then show the Committee what that does on the plans . <br /> Bob said he noticed the Police Chief is retiring and that concerns him.
