Mike requested minutes of the Building Committee meetings. <br /> Paul suggested Mike coordinate all meetings with the subconsultants through <br /> Chartwell . <br /> Mike added that he has a vast resource of contacts in the to l ecommun i cation <br /> industry. <br /> Bill said some school systems are looking at not having a library in their <br /> school . Maybe this library i s obsolete., <br /> Paul said people are not yet ready to give up books. <br /> Steve said maybe the number of books we need in the library gets adjusted <br /> but not eliminated . <br /> (Steve Gree l i sh left the meeting . ) <br /> ,doe Polito had to leave the meeting and requested the Committee review the <br /> plans so he can share his comments. <br /> How will the sidewalks work on O 1 d Barnstable Road? <br /> - sign for the school , will it get better exposure in f ron t of the school <br /> or at the intersection? <br /> The Committee agreed two signs will be needed - 1 cheap, 1 good. <br /> -- There are a lot of toilets all over the place. can some of the faculty <br /> ones become unisex , eliminating some' They cost about $8,000 per room. <br /> -- Tip of the arrow, i e thought to eliminating i t, there is a lot of money <br /> in i t. Joe said it will become a real sore point; it has to be corrected . <br /> Glass vs. brick, woad vs . brick and the cost factors . where can we sage <br /> money? The ones near the play fields are not close enough to be usefu 1 <br /> - Joe said the Committee has to look at carpet.' <br /> Merry sue asked the custodian in her building who said he can clean carpet <br /> cheaper than tile f1oor <br /> Paul said we have to buy the right equipment to clean i t. <br /> Paul said timber beaches are shown. There are more durable materials . <br /> Courtyard shows 6 ft wide concrete walkway , concrete is too expensive. <br /> Bob suggested stone as a good alternative* <br /> 7 <br />
