This is where the AV office will
be. He suggested moving the door to the back of the room, so equipment can
be moved out easily. AV equipment will be stored here. The Committee
explained the door was put where it is for security reasons .
Video tapes will be stored in the library and hand carried to the TV studio
for play.
The classroom in the library will be used for long distance learning, as
well as other things .
The Committee thanked Mike for his comments.
Paul said the letter from Childs states the library layout is not good ,
does not work well .
Mr. Tavares agrees. Merry Sue said is was supposed to be but does not look
like that on these plans .
office Technology: High Tech Rooms .
Key boarding and computer applications are inter-changeable computer labs .
CAD drafting room, with plotter.
Graphics - production , printing .
Accounting/Business : all accounting is now computer driven .
Home Economics, food and nutrition , fashion and family living are not high
tech at this point.
office/Administration doesn 't have any real specialty equipment.
Mr. Tavares said he would like to go through the spaces and make
suggestions to the layouts.
Paul cautioned him that some things are related to holding down the budget.
Paul suggested to the Committee that it would be advisable to do some site
visits again , see how high schools are using their equipment, look at
6
