Paul told the Committee he attended the technology seminar last week given by CELT and Sushani . He thought it was a very good seminar. It identified technology and the apparent problems in today' s educational market and how ed reform effects some of these problems ; how technology will help students . * Merry Sue made a motion that the Committee direct Manny Tavares to go forward with bidding documents for group 2 . Janice seconded the motion. All members were in favor 7-0 . ** The next furniture subcommittee meeting is November 20th at 3 : 00 p.m. in Dr. DeMoura' s office . FEE INVOICES ** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their approval and payment $17 , 342 . 23 to Chartwell for basic project management services and clerk of the works services and overtime. Merry Sue seconded the motion. All members were in favor. Steve Greelish stepped down from this portion of discussion dealing with the Water District . * Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their approval and payment a Mashpee Water District fee for $21 , 720 for service connection fee , water main and fire sprinkler inspection. Merry Sue seconded the motion. Janice would like to know if other town buildings have paid these fees . Paul said the Water District will not waive this fee. This should be changed but for now the Town has to pay it to get the water hooked up. He reminded the Committee there are 2 water connections because the fire chief wanted dual connections . All members were in favor 6-0 . ( Steve Greelish stepped down) . ** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their approval and payment change order #4 for $1 , 645 to add plumbing drains in the kitchen because of the addition of a pass through refrigerator and increase size of tap for water main. Merry Sue seconded the motion. Paul explained the pass through refrigerator needs the drain and the wrong size tap was speced so there is now an extra to provide the correct size . * All members were in favor 7--0 . Earlier this week Paul approved 2 change orders: for trap primer in the floor drain in the back of the building . The building inspector suggested they be added and a stub for electrical which they are not sure yet will be needed. Joe Polito discussed the problem of standing water, south of the gym area and who is gong to fix it? It is in an area where kids will be, there will be a problem with it . Steve said when something starts growing , there won't be a problem. Paul said if the additional fields no not get approved the Committee can then look at this problem.
