Paul asked when the windows are coming?
In February.
Paul asked when the roofer will re-start?
Herb said on Friday he will start the piece between derrick 4 & 5 .
Paul asked if once he starts, will he keep going?
Herb said he will .
Paul is concerned that the sheet rock work will get caught up and they will
pull off the job.
Herb disagrees . The dry waller installs the frames so they have plenty of
work.
Paul asked when the stairwells and elevators will be ready?
Herb said the stairs will be delivered January 8th.
They elevator has to be resubmitted.
Joel said he has the stair submittal in his office and agreed the elevator
must be resubmitted.
Paul is concerned abut the mechanical room, in derrick 8 . There is a
tremendous amount of man hours to get that complete, how will they resolve
that?
Herb explained they will get the high walls in the auditorium built , then
get the roof on derrick 7 and can get the heaters in place for that area.
That is the next main focus .
CONTRACTORS PAYMENT REQUISITION
Tom Wren said it is not finalized, there were a few problems , including
prevailing wage paperwork not in.
Costa said they should hold the payment for the subcontractor whose
paperwork is incomplete , not the entire payment .
Paul agreed they could subtract out the trade that is in non compliance
with prevailing wage .
Tom said they are only getting the entire return 2-3 days before the
meeting and Chartwell and SMMA have to go before the Committee with a
recommendation without sufficient time for review.
Costa said they know this would begin to become a problem when there is a
substantial amount of sub work, the time frame is short . ,
Paul said he will look into the possibility of allowing a delay of 1 month
for filing of prevailing wage info.
Costa said that is typically done on other jobs . Stone does not file the
next months requisition until paperwork from the previous month is order.
Stone is also looking at increasing their secretary' s hours .
Paul asked where this pay requisition stands?
Joel said it is not certified because of these issues . If a figure needs
to be changed, Stone must take the entire package back and change that
figure .
Paul said originally they had a drop dead date for the final requisition of
the Wednesday before the meeting. If Chartwell does not get it by then, it
doesn' t go on the agenda and Stone does not get paid.
3
