Paul said SMMA has to take full responsibility for the key,
manual and training.
Tom said the masons are washing down the blockwork in the
auditorium and kitchen area and it is drifting towards the
drywall .
Paul said he has spoken to them about this before . If there is
damage they will have to take it out.
Tom Wren said audio dial is needed in the sewage treatment plant
in the event there is a mechanical failure in the plant.
Paul will check the spec first , he is sure there is a line that
runs to the plant from the telephone room. They can tie it on
with the elevator.
Paul asked tom Wren to talk to NYNEX, they have to tag the lines
- what they are and the telephone numbers, at the main telephone
room.
FF & E
Manny Tavares has sent a recommendation on some furniture
categories for the committees approval .
Paul would like to get it on the Selectmen' s agenda for July
29th. He has to talk to town counsel about the items which were
not bid on (no bids received) . They may have to be bid again.
( Steve Greelish joined the meeting) .
The subcommittee has reviewed the technology education component .
Wes Pettit from Paxton Patterson, the low bidder was present.
Paul asked if this bid contains any PC ' s?
Mr. Petti said only 1 . He has sent a letter to Mike Kirwin
regarding the computer requirements for that area.
** Merry Sue made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for
their approval the low bid of $152 , 285 by Paxton
Patterson for Sec 107 , technology education. Joe seconded
the motion.
Janice asked if the Selectmen can hold an emergency meeting to
vote on this?
Paul asked Mr. Pettit what the delivery schedule was?
He said it depends on the parameters . If you choose custom
colors for the furniture it will take longer.
Paul asked if a letter form the Executive Secretary explaining
that the bid has been accepted, subject to the final vote, would
be sufficient to place the order?
Mr. Pettit said that will work. Furniture is usually 7-8 weeks
delivery. Equipment is 2-3 weeks . Custom colors depends on what
is in stock. He said they can rent temporary furniture and they
will then replace it and it is not expensive.
** All members were in favor 6-0**
3
