L Merry sue said they have to promise to take a hard look at the PP&E budget . Paul said the Committee is not going to extend the list of alternates, they are talking about adding back in those items from the alternates 1ist . Peter said the Selectmen don ' t have enough information to decide which alternates to put back in against the FF&E items. Joe said it is a share the technology has to be compromised . That is what the school needs . Attention should be paid to the technology budget. Peter suggested they ask Anne Shaw to run the projections on the tax rate for the additional 2 million , per $1 , 000, Bill said the committee assured town meeting they could deliver this school for $27 . 8 million. If they could stress only l thing i t would be the need for a speaker light for the fire alarm system in each classroom. Phil said they have already done that, with an addendum He said there i s no guarantee you will get the required decibel level i n the classroom from the corridor . The Committee members should have it by Thursday . The filed sub bids are due April 6th . They have up to 48 hours before that for addendum. He did spew with Sarah Johnson who does an economic report for a local network. She said the numbers now are reflecting the contractors adding back in for overhead and profit which they hadn ' t done for the last 2 years . Materials are only up -5 and labor up maybe . The big number is the 1 overhead and profit , contractors now need profit to stay in business . You cannot predict competition . with that many drawings out, it is a good indication of the discount the p ro,"ect will receive but discount from what is the question .
