f <br /> Mashpee High school Building Committee Meeting <br /> September 26, 1995 mage Two <br /> High School Site <br /> Com Electric wrote a letter to the Selectmen regarding easement and a <br /> need for a letter of intent. At the present he had not heard <br /> anything regarding a response but that he was going to contact Bob <br /> whri.tenour regarding this matter* Also mentioned was that an <br /> arrangement with the gas company had been made and that water line <br /> arrangements had been made. A question was asked regarding <br /> handr+ak.ing vs. machinery. It was answered that both were presently <br /> bung utilized and that the present mix was good and that all efforts <br /> for the spring looked good. A 2000 gallon truck would be coming down <br /> to keep the fields wet. <br /> P. Griffin informed the members that he would be speeking with <br /> Lawrence Lynch on November 1 regarding putting the binder down. At <br /> the present the Trailers would probably be in the way but it was <br /> doubtful that all the binder would be down before winter. All <br /> efforts will be made to complete this by then the binder will rate <br /> for heavy equipment. <br /> Shop drawings in at present were for derricks 1f 21 31 4 and 5 . The <br /> drawings for derrick 6 also was in Drawings for derricks 7 91 11, <br /> and 12 have been sent to Syms. Derricks 8 and 10 are presently at <br /> Stones office for review and will be sent overnight to Joel tonight <br /> via Federal. Express. <br /> The steel company had been contacted regarding delivery dates. <br /> Derrick I is up and the steel for derrick 4 is here except for the <br /> columns. They are due to arrive Thursday, Sept, 28 or Friday, Sept. <br /> 9 and then it will be erected* Welding is to be done in derrick 1 <br /> and derricks 2 and 3 are scheduled for arrival on Tuesday. <br /> Fabrication for derrick 5 starts tomorrow a.m. There is a 3 or 4 day <br /> fabrication turnaround. L. L. Lyons has committed to have the <br /> drawings back on derrick 6 and do a formal review to get them off to <br /> the steel company for fabrication with any revisions,, presently <br /> strong concentration is on beams for derricks I through 5. It is <br /> anticipated that by November 15, 1995 it will be fully erected. <br /> Further information was provided as to having the mason crews <br /> doubling up and get the crew going before cold weather conditions <br /> arrive. It was mentioned that sheeting and a vapor barrier would be <br /> set up and that 1-2 ren would be dedicated to staging in accordance <br /> with OSHA standards* concerns were raised as to productivity in the <br /> winter and that a need for better production time on steel, and <br /> approving the exterior steel studs. Ht Carr is to reevaluate <br /> derricks 1--4 so that they can approve the packages <br /> Currently, progress is being Made in expediting the erection and. <br /> tomorrow, T. Wren will go over current issues with Bob H. Concerns <br /> about heat - plumbing and pipes were raised by the contractors . They <br /> are worried about pipes freezing. Heaters will be on site and will <br /> be coming in ahead of time - tested and ready to go. <br />
