John said people will have to <br /> understand that the first few months of school there are some <br /> things we will not have . . . he has very flexible people. <br /> Paul told Manny that he will speak to Chartwell after this <br /> meeting ; we will start to develop a game plan in case a problem <br /> arises; we will think about some alternatives in the local area <br /> to arrive at a solution. <br /> Joel .asked Manny about delivery dates on the technology education <br /> equipment award just voted on. Manny informed that the contracts <br /> are prepared. .Lengthy discussion followed about Selectmen ' s <br /> votes on recent contract awards , Chartwell ' s responsibility to <br /> obtain the Selectmen ' s vote to approve the execution of a <br /> contract, and the procedure for signing contracts . Manny <br /> informed that the prepared contracts are dated today and must <br /> first be signed by the vendors . Paul instructed Manny to send <br /> out the contracts. <br /> Manny discussed the punch list of existing work. He went through <br /> the classroom area this afternoon; Jim and Tom have been given <br /> information on what is expected and who the vendors are; as <br /> equipment is brought on site, he has instructed that any obvious <br /> damage be noted on factory receipts if we are not there to check. <br /> 3 (b) Technology. Summary by CCR on Voice, Data and Video Systems <br /> Michael gave copies of a 4--page report (item cost and budget <br /> summary) ; also, copies of a 20-page list with complete <br /> description of equipment and total items required for each room. <br /> Paul referred to page 1 , Technology Budget Summary; he questioned <br /> Difference to Budget $183 , 516. 73 . Michael explained that the <br /> figure represents how much we have left to exercise against <br /> $2 . 2 Million. Paul informed that current budget totals tie in <br /> with Manny ' s requests , yet we think you asked for more; when the <br /> two totals are added together, we end up with a sizable amount of <br /> extra money . Paul was then given a copy of CCR ' s original total <br /> request . . . he verified it was $2.3 Million. Michael explained <br /> that they have been trying to be extremely good by working with <br /> $2 . 2 Million for all three of their package areas . Paul verified <br /> that Michael actually has $283 , 516 . 73 left; Michael agreed. Paul <br /> asked Michael if he agrees the total amount ( $2 , 016 ,4$3 .27 ) <br /> listed on his Technology Budget Summary represents what Michael <br /> and the School Department have agreed we need to buy subject to <br /> something falling short. Michael agreed. <br />
