Joel said they need all of June for testing. Stone plans a completion date
of May 1 .
Paul said that is only 2 months to build it.
Omesh said Alan expects the equipment to arrive in 2 weeks.
Paul asked Tom and Joel to highlight the STP schedule in the new CPM. It
can be a big problem if it is not complete on time.
Jim said the shop drawings for the STP have been brought up to speed.
FF & E
The subcommittee had a meeting last week and looked at some samples . The
bids, as specified, came in low. There are still some decisions to be made
on library furniture. There were definite difference between samples. The
high end, Brodar, was definitely better but there was a difference in
price .
Paul asked that Manny Tavares provide the full Committee with a color
brochure on the chosen products so they can see how it will all come
together. Maybe he can put together a board of items we have purchase for
the community to see.
CCR still must make a presentation to the committee on the video component .
John Williams said the subcommittee must meet with him first. They still
have come concerns/ issues about which equipment they need or don't need.
There is no date yet for th'e subcommittee ' s next meeting with •CCR.
Paul asked about Merrimack Education Group, we have not heard from them
again. Dr. DeMoura agreed they have not been mentioned since the
presentation.
Paul asked Joel to find out what has happened with them.
Paul also asked Joel to be sure CCR has speced a lock and key for the
maintenance port.
The Committee gave CCR permission to prepare all the voice and data
documents but we don' t know where that stands.
Ian asked if there has been an update on the budget for technology?
There has not.
Tom said technology is the only section without a peer review done. Would
the Committee like it done? Only the infrastructure was reviewed by Tams .
Paul ' s concern is that there is a building process that goes on to develop
the system. Another review at this point would not be a fair evaluation.
It would just be another opinion.
Steve suggested an independent review to see if there are any holes in the
system. Janice agreed.
CHANGE ORDERS
The Committee asked for price on motorized bleachers. Joel has that price
to discuss . $19, 793 . total . $14 , 000 for the bleacher upgrade and $4 ,000
from Griffin Electric installation, $1 , 500 markup.
SMMA feels the bleacher manufacturers price if fair and reasonable . They
6
