Thursday . The teachers ' computers are coming first , and printers . Then the remaining student computers . The video cards were installed in them already. The video distribution system is being coordinated with the schedule for occupancy of C & D . it is too valuable to move the equipment in before the space is ready . The student management software is here . The vendor did not install it on the network last weep. Mike Kirwin has written a letter to Dr. DeMoura to ask the network service provider to be available November 6th so the system can be installed on the network. He is hounding the library management system (Winnebago ) to finish installation. He presented a copy of the microsoft products licensing agreement for the school . Internet service : Mike Kirwin recommend the school subscribe and execute the agreement with I,,1EC . Tom said he did not see anything to do with money in the agreement . Mike remembers seeing $500 per month but will review that . Tom said if it is a fixed charge , it should be stated in the contract . Dr. DeMoura said this should go out to bid. Have we approached Cape Cod Internet for a quote? You need 3 quotes if it is under $10 , 000 . Steve said the current Cape provider cannot provide 8 simultaneous Accesses . Mike Kirwin said they did seek quotes for the services , from on and off Cape . Merrimack Education was the least expensive . Tom asked if it is part of the construction budget or school budget? Dr. Demoura asked if we are presently able to use it? Until we can use it , it can' t come out of the school budget . Mike will prepare a new package on this issue for the next meeting . Change Order CIC Systems : Student work stations changed because of a model change and serious back order. This student computer is more powerful for less money. It end up being a $27 , 088 credit . Compaq will not ship until hey get, authorization for the credit . Mike Kirwin' s signature was not good enough , they need the Committee ' s signature . They want the Committee to recognize that the vendor is not keeping the money. Tom said he only sees the words compatibility, not better than . Mike said it his recommendation letter , it states it is at least equal to . Dr. DeHoura said some of his staff members say it is not equal to and question the compatibility. He feels uncomfortable with this . He added that there was questions about the compatibility of the administrative software ( Edgestar product ) . Mike Kirwin said although serious issues have been raised , that is not the case . The president of the company fully supports the functionality of this system. Toel suggested Dr .
