Mrs. Mills asked if the school attorney Baas looked at the memorandum of <br /> agreement. Ms. Lugo stated she had not as yet. <br /> Mir. Bailey asked about the decision process. <br /> Ms. Lugo stated that on Friday she would be initiating van driver and <br /> monitor contract negotiations. She stated Haat she felt a date should be set <br /> for a Cape Cod Collaborative representative to corns and meet with <br /> parents and drivers for a question and answer session. Ms. Lugo stated <br /> she hoped for a vote at the May 2 1 st Finance meeting. <br /> Mrs. Grady acknowledged the attendance of many vary drivers and <br /> monitors at the meeting. She stated that she would entertain <br /> representative to come forward to address the committee. <br /> Ms. Arm Melt and Ms. Holly MacDonald cavae forward. They stated their <br /> concerns with using the Collaborative. They state that the Collaborative <br /> has only begun to replace vehicles, all of their vehicles do not have <br /> cameras, and using the Collaborative will not be as cost effective a <br /> projected. They stated that this choice should be about the children, that <br /> the Mashpee drivers have a good record, and they are loyal employees. <br /> parent spoke about her experience with the Collaborative. Her cone m <br /> is that teachers are not able to speak to van drivers to pass along <br /> information. She stated she would not sign an IEP and would seek <br /> alternative transportation for her student. <br /> Mr. Bailey stated that the Coll borative's record is a matter of fact and <br /> encouraged Ms. Lugo to do more digging to be sure of all the information <br /> presented. <br /> Several members ofthe audience made comments. <br /> Mrs. Grady stated Haat Ms. Lugo was trying to arrange an open forum <br /> with the Collaborative so questions could be answered. <br /> Ms. MacDonald mentioned that she was aware that Mrs. Stanley's <br /> husband is an employee of the Collaborative and he has been allowed to <br /> park a Collaborative vehicle at the Quashnet School. <br /> V.
