s <br /> Board ofSelectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> December 21, 2009 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Recommendation mendation for Award of Contracts: <br /> Trash & Recycling Collection & Dental of Portable Toilets: <br /> It is the recommendation of the DPW to award the contract for trash and <br /> recycling to Casella Waste Management for calendar year 2010. This is <br /> the 2"d year of a -year hid. The DPW also recommended the contract for <br /> calendar year 2010 e awarded to Bouse Mouse Enterprises, Inc. for the <br /> rental of portable toilets for the 3rd year of a 3-yeas bid. There is no <br /> change in the two referenced contract prices from calendar year 2009. <br /> The bid amounts were outlined in a memorandum to the Board o <br /> Selectmen from the Director of Public Works dated c m er'% 2009. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to award the Trash & Recycling <br /> bid to Casella Waste Management and also to award the Rental of <br /> Portable Toilets bid from Bouse House Enterprises, Inc. as <br /> recommended pending the following stipulation; the operators shall <br /> be permitted In the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion ion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br /> APPOfNTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Americo s— Initiatives and Pro'eet Proposals: <br /> Representatives from Barnstable County Amen*corps Cape Cod were in <br /> attendance to review past programs and announce the acceptance of <br /> proposals for group service projects for the 2010 service year. Americorps <br /> representatives included Brian Dinizio, a former Mashpee resident, <br /> Korinda Walls and Ashley McCourt. Americorps Cape Cod is a full-time <br /> residential service program committed to addressing the environmental <br /> and disaster related needs and natural resources of the entire Cape Cod <br /> community. The four program focus areas include natural resource <br /> management; land and tater, disaster preparedness and response, <br /> community education; environmental and disaster and volunteer <br /> engagement. <br />
