Page 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 22, 1994 <br /> JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE: <br /> Communication relative to Accessibility to Brynwood Site: <br /> The Indemnification to Hold Harmless Agreement as developed by <br /> Town Counsel has been agreed to in principal by the Brynwood <br /> property owners indicated Mr. Whritenour. He recommended the <br /> Board approve the agreement as outlined in principal to gain access <br /> to the site. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Vaccaro to authorize the <br /> Executive Secretary to enter into the Indemnification to <br /> Hold Harmless Agreement on behalf of the Board of <br /> Selectmen as recommended. Motion seconded by Selectman <br /> Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Memo relative to the Water Willow Plant Survey: <br /> As noted by Mr. Dinizio, the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife has <br /> recommended that a survey be performed on the project site to verify <br /> the presence of the water willow plant. The water willow plant is the <br /> only food source of the water-willow borer, a threatened species. <br /> Lelito Environmental Consultants has submitted a cost estimate of <br /> $800 to locate, flag and report on any water willow plants indicated <br /> Mr.Dinizio. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the recommended <br /> survey as outlined. Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Memo relative to the Archaeological Survey: <br /> Correspondence from the MA Historic Commission and findings <br /> received from the Preliminary Cultural Resource Assessment outline <br /> the need to conduct an intensive archaeological survey indicated <br /> Mr.Dinizio. <br /> The Public Archaeology Laboratory has submitted a cost estimate of <br /> $11,762 plus 10% SMMA markup to complete the project. An <br /> archaeologist is also required to be on site during soil investigative <br /> work noted Mr. Dinizio. SNIMA has estimated 8-10 days of site work <br /> charged at a rate of$200 per day. <br /> The Building Comn-ittee has recommended to increase SMMA's <br /> contract to$14,938.20 to complete the necessary survey and site <br /> investigation. It was noted that funds were budgeted for this project, <br /> but not placed under the architect's contractual agreement. <br />
